Éadaoin Fox

 "A lot of acting exercises go something like this: Close your eyes. Imagine the room you’re in, that your character is in. Imagine the ground you’re standing on. Feel it under your toes. Imagine the surface of it under your feet. Feel it, right down to your feet, grounding you right there into the room. Feel your legs, your body connecting you to the room. Feel your whole body there, the air against your skin. Inhale. This is you. Exhale."

Alice, a struggling actor, is hired by a man to play the role of (someone’s) lifetime - agreeing to live in his house as his estranged daughter, Melissa. As the experiment plays out - exploring dynamics of father/daughter, boss/employee, youth/age, and men/women - the balance of power shifts in increasingly explosive ways.With the use of projection and film the audience gains insight into Alice's psyche. Projection and film were utilised in this production to amplify modes of perception and reality,  that are conceptually embedded in Alice's point of view. 

This is You premiered at Cork Midsummer Festival 2023 and then featured at Dublin Fringe Festival.
